2012-2013 Seattle Select Program Overview

Accepting a position with the Seattle Select Baseball Club is a significant commitment for both the player and their family. The player must be willing and able to devote sufficient time to meet all team obligations beginning in November, through the team's last league games and out-of-state tournaments ending in mid-August. This is a 9-10 month commitment for both the player and their family. The player's success will depend on their dedication to the program and the support of their family.

Practice Schedule

Training and Practice will begin in November and continue through March. Seattle Select Baseball's home practice facility is Showcase Sports, an indoor training facility in Shoreline. In addition, the high school aged teams also use Dempsey Center at the University of WA. Each team will be assigned a weekly practice time.

The facility has cages, pitching mounds and an infield area. Additional training and services, such as core, vision and hitting training, are available through Showcase at an additional cost.

Outdoor practice will be scheduled as fields become available and weather permits.

Tournament/League Game Schedules

Once completed, game schedules will be available. Schedules may change frequently. Check the schedule often. Contact your coach for the most up-to-date version.

U9, U10,U11 and U12 teams will train and play in local and regional tournaments. Teams may travel and play in an end of season world series tournament. You can expect some in state travel that will require a stay in a hotel, as well as travel to Arizona in March.

U13, U14, U15, U16 and U18 will play in league, local, regional and national tournaments. Teams may travel and play in an end of season world series tournament. You can expect some in state travel that will require a stay in a hotel, as well as travel by air to other states for tournament play.

Tryout Registration

If you would like to register to attend a tryout for Seattle Select Baseball Club, please review the following information before clicking the "Register Now" button and completing the registration.

The Player Fee for the 2012 - 2013 season is below. If you choose to pay the fee in full at time of registration, there will be a coupon code that will give you a $50 credit. We also offer a payment plan as follows: a $500 registration deposit once you register your player and the balance will be divided into 6 monthly payments starting on the 20th of October.

Credit/Debit cards only. If your credit/debit card payment is declined you will be charged a $25.00 penalty that will be added to your account balance.

Scholarships are available and should be submitted by the 30th of September.(application form may be found under the "Scholarships" tab on the homepage)

NOTE: All U12 teams will be traveling to Cooperstown Dreams Park in New York in August 2013. Players stay in dorms onsite at the park with coaches and several parent volunteers. The cost is $1200 (this does not include airfare) in addtion to the regular season's player's fees. Should your player be offered a roster spot on a team, you will need to complete the player registration at the Seattle Select Baseball website. During that regsitration, you will see that your total balance due will be $2950.00. By completing the registration, you are committing your player to both the regular season and the end of season trip to Cooperstown. There will be a parent meeting in October for each team.
